Sawiris Foundation
In collaboration with the Faculty of Mass Communication – Cairo University, we delivered a five-day intensive media training for senior managers at the Sawiris Foundation for Social Development, held from February 2–7.
This program focused on mastering the art of storytelling in development work, helping participants craft compelling success stories that resonate with readers and appeal to funders alike. The training also covered essential skills for public speaking during conferences and press events, including how to effectively prepare for high-stakes media engagements.
Participants received hands-on experience in TV interview simulations, tailored to their areas of expertise and the social issues they champion. These simulations were conducted in a state-of-the-art studio at Cairo University’s media faculty, offering a professional environment that mirrors top national and international broadcast studios.
Ministry of Information, Oman
As part of its commitment to enhancing media competencies across the public sector, the Media Training Center at the Ministry of Information hosted a five-day program titled “Media Interaction Skills”, from April 20–24.
The training equipped participants with critical tools for engaging with the press and managing public communication. Key topics included the dynamics between official spokespersons and the media, effective strategies for dealing with journalists, and the art of crafting clear, impactful media messages.
This session aimed to promote objectivity, clarity, and confidence in media interactions—empowering participants to represent their institutions with professionalism and purpose.
Arabic-Speaking Spokespeople Refresher – ICRC
On May 27–28, 2025, we conducted a tailored two-day training for Arabic-speaking spokespersons of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). The program was designed to sharpen communication strategies, enhance clarity in messaging, and prepare field representatives for high-stakes media interactions.
Day one explored how Arab media perceives the ICRC’s work, based on a deep analysis of PAN-Arab coverage over the last decade. Participants learned how to craft impactful messages in a digital-first era, pitch content to the press, and communicate humanitarian narratives with greater resonance.
Day two tackled sensitive topics, including why media outlets may criticize the ICRC, and how to respond with accuracy and confidence. Sessions focused on strategic word choice, simplifying complex press releases, and developing media-friendly language. The training concluded with real-time mock interviews, challenging participants with tough questions drawn from real field scenarios to prepare them for authentic public-facing moments.
This refresher course played a key role in elevating the ICRC’s Arabic-speaking communication teams—strengthening their ability to convey humanitarian principles with clarity, credibility, and cultural relevance.
